Introducing ADFs in the drop and concentration points in the primary network allow operators to remotely manage all the copper wiring installed.
When deploying new access networks like Fibre-To-The-Cabinets, ADF deployment becomes the key enabler facilitating management of remote cabinets in a cost efficient way. The requirement on Sub-Loop Unbundling further emphasize the need for an ADF in the primary connection point.
The NeXa system is available for standard racks such as ETSI as well as the 19" rack mounting systems
Central office deployment
The NeXa system can scale up to 160,000 lines with any-to-any non-blocking capabilities, making it the only commercial available ADF that can manage large central office distribution frame installations.
One of the fundamental ideas behind the NeXa system is to enable MDF replacement and transfer without service interruption. This delivers additional benefits such as freeing up space which can be used for other purposes as well as releasing large amounts of copper, aggregated over the years, from the old MDF.
In order to optimise space efficiency, a special high density NeXa rack system has been developed. This is important in central office applications where space saving is one key priority.
